AS BROWARD GOES BACK TO WORK, WHERE DO OUR STUDENTS GO BACK TO CLASS?

Give our students what they need to succeed

THE JA WORLD REMOTE LEARNING PROGRAM NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT

Broward County Schools are learning remotely to prevent community spread, but parents are heading back to their jobs. Right now, nearly half of families aren’t financially prepared to deal with a $400 emergency. And they certainly weren’t prepared for the fallout of a global pandemic.

Many families simply don’t have any other option than to head back to work. That’s why Junior Achievement of South Florida needs your help to provide remote learning services so today’s students have a safe place to learn how to be tomorrow’s leaders.

We have converted our JA World facility in Coconut Creek to provide remote learning services for kindergarten through 8th grade students during COVID-19. In partnership with Community After School, we provide a fun, engaging day for students in a safe, CDC guideline-compliant learning environment.

With your support, we can provide options to help families work while ensuring that no child falls behind.

Fall Behind

Like Millennials, uncertainty early in life could put their financial futures years behind.

Caring for tomorrow’s leaders creates an environment of prosperity for all of us.

ABOUT THE JA WORLD REMOTE LEARNING PROGRAM

Junior Achievement of South Florida is prepared to help tomorrow’s leaders through today’s challenges. We’re providing our successful financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work readiness programs via virtual platforms, and we have opened our 60,000 square foot learning center as a safe place for Broward County Schools students to learn and thrive this fall.

JA World offers that safe, supervised learning center following all CDC guidelines. The program is offered at our Huizenga Center at the Lillian S. Wells Pavilion, located on the Broward College North campus in Coconut Creek.

With the guidance of our professional staff, students will complete their daily schoolwork online and then have opportunities to:

  • Learn and play through engaging JA activities and projects around financial literacy, career skills and entrepreneurship.
  • Participate in other age-appropriate activities, including arts and crafts, STEM projects and interactive physical games all while following proper CDC guidelines and social distancing protocols.
