JA Fellows, an 8-month high school program that exposes students to a real-life entrepreneurship experience, gives them a good feel for the satisfaction and struggles of running a business. Student teams of 15-20 students develop an idea/product and start, capitalize and run businesses. The program includes a retreat, Shark Tank presentations, entrepreneur boot camp, assigned business mentors and the Spark Tank Finale competition.
More than 200 business community leaders, school officials, teachers, parents and students gather at the Spark Tank Finale, where the final 10 high school companies present their business outcomes to a panel of business judges for a variety of prizes and awards, including JA Fellows Company of the Year. They also have a chance to advance to the JA National competition in Washington, D.C.!
